I forged this knife from a section of a firestorm pattern damascus billet. I reforged the piece on the end grain of the steel to reorient the pattern, producing a linear grain flow that feels both structured and organic.
The straight movement of the damascus mirrors the grain in the brown heart handle scales, while the contrast in the steel is echoed in the dark wenge frame and bright stainless steel pins. Every element of this knife was selected to work together visually pairing the steel, wood, and hardware.
The blade is forged from 80CrV2 and 15N20 damascus, heat treated for toughness and reliable edge retention. Built as a compact everyday carry, it’s light in the pocket but substantial in hand.
The handmade sheath features dark brown leather with amber stitching, pairing naturally with the tones of the handle.
